# How to configure Exception Management for Resource Parameters with Validation type as 'Enable Approval Workflow'?

## Users can configure Exception Management for Resource Parameters by selecting approval workflows.

1\. Log in to the system.

2\. Ensure there is an existing prototype.

3\. Navigate to a prototype.

4\. Navigate to a task.

5\. Click on 'Add Activity'.

6\. Click on 'Parameters' and then click on 'Add New'.

7\. Provide a label.

8\. Select 'Single Resource Selector' in Parameter Type.

9\. Select the object type.

10\. Navigate to the validations tab.

11\. Select execution type as 'Enable Approval Workflow'.

12\. Apply the applicable validation rule and enter the error message.

13\. Click on save.
