# How to Skip an Optional Task in Your Workflow ?

## Users can easily skip optional tasks in a workflow by providing a reason.

1. Navigate to the task within your current job stage that has been marked as optional.

2. If the task hasn't been started, click on the 'Start Task' button to initiate it.

3. Locate and click on the 'Skip the Task' button.
4. Enter your reason for skipping this task in the space provided.
5. Be as specific as possible to maintain workflow clarity.
6. Click on the 'Submit' button to finalize skipping the task.
