Verifying Access Restrictions by IP Address.

Ensure your system's security by confirming it cannot be accessed via restricted IP addresses.

  1. Ensure the system has IP-based access restrictions configured.
  2. Obtain two IP addresses for testing: one that is whitelisted (allowed) and another that is restricted (not whitelisted).
  3. From the whitelisted IP address, attempt to log in to the system to confirm access is granted.
  4. Switch to the restricted IP address and attempt to log in to the system.
  5. Verify that access is denied from the restricted IP address, confirming the effectiveness of your IP-based access restrictions.
